Bell Ringing in the benefice of Holkham, Warham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Wighton
Under normal circumstances regular practices are held on Tuesdays at 7.30pm, mostly at St Nicholas Wells, which has 8 bells, and ringers come together to ring for the main Sunday service at 11am and special services elsewhere in the benefice – at St Withburga’s Church, Holkham and All Saints, Wighton – both of which have 6 bells. We also ring for weddings and local and national celebrations.
We have a facebook page, “Bells-next-the-Sea”, which can be accessed on hhtps://www.facebook.com/BellsNextTheSea. This advises on any changes of venue for practices and other bellringing matters.
We welcome ringers who are visiting the area and, if you haven’t rung before and want to have a go, just come along to a practice. Experienced tutors are available.
