Little Fishes meets twice every month in the church, on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays between 1.45pm and 3.30pm.

All mums, dads, grandparents and carers with their little ones are very welcome. There is no charge, no booking and refreshments are provided. Come and join in this informal and friendly group. Pre-school children and babies have fun and make friends sharing in activities such as crafts, story-telling, playing and musical activities. The adults enjoy the company and chatting to each other over a cup of tea and cake.

Little Fishes families have also been able to help children elsewhere, here and abroad. We have helped to provide clothes and school equipment for an orphanage in Morocco, and for children in Malawi through the charity Mary’s Meals. We have raised money for EACH, the Norfolk Children’s Hospice. The group have also been able to decorate and provide babychanging facilities for the church toilet. We have used the money given to us by the Carnival Committee to provide extra heating and purchase new toys.

Little Fishes enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Here we see proud granny with grandson’s Union Jack.

Then there was a procession.

During the Covid-19 lock-down Little Fishes kept in touch and the team gave them weekly tasks which were greatly enjoyed. These  included making cookies, making a wonderful paper fish, hiding toys around the house for your child to find & making home-made playdough and then creating an animal from it. And Kate’s window ended up full of teddies! But it’s so good to be able to meet in church again to enjoy play and chat, not to mention Thelma’s wonderful buns and cake.
